In 2016, the Government of Vanuatu and Hawkins Infrastructure Ltd engaged Hall to undertake dredging works to improve navigational accessibility between South Paray Wharf and Iririki Island.
Hall dredged a channel 200 metres in length, 50 metres wide and 5.5 metres deep (approximately 48,000m3 in total).
The team then used the dredged coral limestone to reclaim part of the port for container space. This has enabled 60-metre-long cargo ships to use the channel, cutting significant time off their voyage.
