Hall is delivering climate-resilient maritime infrastructure on Nanumaga and Nanumea in Tuvalu as part of the World Bank-funded Maritime Investment in Climate Resilient Operations II (MICRO II) project.
The project includes the construction of new wharves, boat ramps, sea access channels, berth pockets, navigation aids, passenger terminal buildings and cargo sheds to improve maritime access for remote island communities.
Working across two remote island locations, Hall has coordinated the transport of precast concrete, aggregate, plant and equipment from Brisbane to Funafuti, before mobilising its own fleet of barges to deliver materials and equipment to the outer islands.
The works will strengthen the resilience of Tuvalu’s maritime sector and improve the safe and reliable movement of people, goods and essential supplies.
