Ebeye Coastal Protection Works

Hall has been engaged to deliver coastal protection works in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) on behalf of the RMI Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure and Utilities.

As one of the world’s smallest and lowest-lying island nations, RMI is extremely vulnerable to the effects of climate change and severe weather events.

To minimise erosion and greatly reduce inundation from storm surges, the project involves constructing a new seawall on the Ebeye atoll, using around 65,000 tonnes of armour rock.

Hall Contracting will mobilise to Ebeye in January 2025 to commence the coastal protection works, which are being funded by the World Bank and Green Climate Fund.
